Thinlet is a great UI technology for phones that support
Java. There are other UI technologies but Thinlet is a very
functional lightweight library, and best of all it is
open-source (LGPL Licensed). The
original Thinlet site can be found here.
As a lightweight library for Mobile UI Thinlet is not as
widely used at it should be. I ported the original Amazon
Explorer application to J2ME and this site will feature the
original source of the port and also step through the
development.
The aim of Thinlet Mobile is to be a showcase for Mobile
Applications developed with Thinlet. If you have any
applications to feature please email me and I will ensure they are
featured.
